  1. Maam very much impressed reading your blog on kailash manasarovar yatra especially on parikrama..But i couldnt read your second and third experiences. We(with my wife) are going to KMY from 24th june from Kathmandu. We are confused about second day and third. Can we see the mount kailash in second day kora? Or staying at Dirupuk is better seeing Mt..kailsh. please suggest.
Thank you very much. We both (61&58 age) are interested in himalayas with spirutuality.

    Dinakar.

    1. Har Har Mahadev!!!
Many many Congratulations for going on once in a life time journey of Kailash Mansarovar Yatra.

Day 1 – yam dwar to Derapuk (can get darshan whole day, ie South, west and north faces)
Day2 – derapuk to zuthulpuk (can get kailash North face darshan for around 1/2 day till you reach Dolma la pass )
Day3 – zuthulpuk to darchen (no darshan during trek)

Day 2 is really challenging in terms of altitude, weather conditions and health wise also. but the view and doing parikrama is worth it.
My sincere suggestions to both of you is complete day1, stay at Derapuk thats beautiful and thats the only place we feel closest to Kailash. and then come back from derapuk to darchen. Your tour guide will arrange.
If health allows, go for day2 parikrama, take pony for help till Dolmala pass (considering your age as it is really very steep).
Day3 is very short and easy trail

Since you both are very much inclined towards Himalayas and spirituality, so I would suggest to consider completing the parikrama if everything goes well. Doing one parikrama feels like turning wheel of the life. As we never know when again we will get chance to get that beautiful experience.

Thanks Dinkar Sir for going through my blog on Kailash yatra. I have just relaunched my website as it was inactive since 3-4 years. And getting comment and inquiry on Kailash has made my day. I should again now start writing. Thank you so much.
